Description
The Gondomar Multipurpose Pavilion was inaugurated on 29 June 2007 and has established itself as an architectural and functional landmark, not only within the municipality but also across the region. With a contemporary design characterised by straight lines and a harmonious integration into the urban landscape, the building contributes to enhancing the area and to boosting cultural, sporting and business activity in the municipality.
Designed to host initiatives of varying sizes and types, the Gondomar Multipurpose Centre features versatile facilities that allow it to adapt efficiently to the needs of each event. The building comprises three sections: the elliptical pavilion (central hall) covering approximately 6,500 m², with three tiers of seating and a maximum capacity of 8,400 people; a 600 m² hall (Sala D’Ouro) intended for conferences and small to medium-sized events; a set of changing rooms and multi-purpose toilet facilities; as well as several support rooms for working groups. Complementing these facilities, the building also features a spacious public area covered by a concrete canopy measuring approximately 520 m², enhancing its capacity to welcome visitors and the quality of their experience.
